A Concept Architect works between disciplines: identifying the mental model beneath a difficult problem, translating research into a usable dialogue structure, and rapidly building an application people can actually experience and test.
Classroom
Seven years of teaching taught me that interaction equals learning. When the lecture failed, I rebuilt the environment around games, questions, and the small conversational moves that invite a person back in.
Clinic
Working with a PhD psychotherapist, I translated clinical transcripts into multi-turn EFT dialogue for anxiety and resistance, with pacing, somatic check-ins, and explicit safety boundaries.
Fintech
A decade inside cash management, interest rates, the Federal Reserve, FINRA, and FinCEN reinforced the same principle: people learn in language that makes sense on their terms.
Co-creation
The most useful intelligence is not in the person or machine alone. It emerges through a careful give and take—closer to jazz improvisation than a query followed by an answer.
The research thread · 2004 to now
My master’s thesis at CSU Sacramento argued for a complex adaptive theory of education: learning emerges through interaction, feedback, diversity, and conditions that let new patterns form. The recursive dialogue research I later helped bring into an application layer follows the same logic. A useful system does not simply deliver the answer; it creates the conditions for insight to emerge.
